Modern Slavery Statement
General Information
Cloud Rede Ltd is a UK-based IT service provider delivering consulting and managed services to high-tech businesses with business-critical data requirements in the UK and Europe.
The company specialises in providing performance management and monitoring for critical SQL server workloads both on-premises and in the cloud, working alongside clients’ existing teams to minimise the risks to data platforms. The company‘s staff work from home, remote locations or the client’s site. It’s supply chain is limited to the occasional recruitment of temporary staff and the procurement of ancillary goods and services.
The business has commissioned the services of recognised experts in the field of modern slavery and has worked closely with them to produce a comprehensive modern slavery policy to assist in preventing or reducing the risk of modern slavery in the business and its supply chain. In addition, a modern slavery action plan has been created which will be driven by a number of key performance indicators (KPIs). Progress against the action plan and the KPIs will be reported on by the Chief Operating Officer to the Cloud Rede board on a quarterly basis.
Key managers and directors of the company have received detailed training to understand what modern slavery is and how it can affect the business. A comprehensive risk assessment process has been undertaken and key risks to the company identified. Appropriate risk mitigation steps have been established and will be implemented to reduce the risks where possible.
Training on the policy, and on the risks that Cloud Rede faces from modern slavery in its supply chains, will be provided as necessary and will form part of induction for all new staff.
Cloud Rede will not tolerate modern slavery in its business or in its supply chain and recognises that high levels of integrity are required in its procurement of people, goods and services. It takes a zero tolerance approach to modern slavery and has examined its working practices to identify risks and implement effective controls, systems and procedures to prevent and reduce risk accordingly.
It is also committed to ensuring there is transparency in all its business operations and expects the same approach to be taken by all its suppliers, subcontractors and other business partners. Wherever practicable, Cloud Rede will seek to include in its contracts specific prohibitions against the use of forced, compulsory, or trafficked labour, or anyone held in slavery or servitude, whether adults or children, and expects that its suppliers will hold their own suppliers to the same high standards.
Cloud Rede’s zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery will be communicated to all suppliers, contractors and business partners at the outset of its business relationship with them and reinforced as appropriate thereafter. Potential business partners will be required to demonstrate they can, and will comply with the policy, and may be required to produce evidence to this effect.
This statement was approved by the Board of Cloud Rede on 1st March 2024 and will be updated on an annual basis.
